  • Have TIME to LISTEN
  • Have close ties with the local community

We deal with your enquiries in a professional and friendly manner. The volunteer workers who staff the Centre are people from the community who are aware of what is happening in our community, of the social issues affecting people and of the many stresses that individuals and families are experiencing. They freely give their time and skills to help - a real sign of a caring community.

Our workers receive specialist training in listening, assessing situations, providing relief and support as well as offering relevant information and advice in a manner that is caring and friendly. The community volunteer workers assist and support the clients in the crisis, help to work out options that may be useful, and always respect the enquirer's right to make their own choice.

The Centre is a wonderful place to work and visit and it is this inter-dependency of all that makes it a vital part of community life. Without clients there is no need for a Centre and without the Centre many people would be left wondering where to go and what to do next.
